The MINT News Review #4

This week was all about wellness at MINT. From gluten free Vegemite to Yoga and Meditation at Pier One with lululemon, take a look at the week that was.

Vegemite Announce A Gluten-Free Version

After well over 90 years of being Australia‘s most-loved (but also most divisive) spread, Vegemite has developed and launched a gluten-free version that has been given the big tick of approval from Coeliac Australia.

Yoga at the Pier

Throughout February and March, luxury hotel Pier One Sydney Harbour and activewear brand lululemon are teaming up to bring free yoga classes Sydney. They’ll set up just outside the hotel on the wharf on Wednesdays, with the 50-minute practice starting at 6.30pm. It’s open to all levels, so grab your mat and come along even if you’re feeling less than limber.

The hotel’s restaurant the Gantry will also be serving some not-so-free but healthy dinners and kombucha cocktails if you’re starved after class and want to stay on the health train.

And if you want to focus on mind strength over body tone, you can try the free meditation sessions on Tuesday mornings from 7.30am.

Experience the never-ending national Rorschach test for yourself

Famous artwork, Three Well Known Australians by Sydney artist Martin Shaw, has been travelling around Australia since 1983 and now, for the first time in 10 years, it is returning to exhibit in Sydney. In a kind of national, ongoing Rorschach test, Shaw asks members of the public to write down their guesses of who the figures represent.

Three Well Known Australians will be exhibited at Leichhardt Library until February 27, before moving to other venues in Kings Cross, Blacktown, Windsor, Hornsby and Mona Vale. It will head up to Brisbane in 2020.

BYO-Ex to Valentine’s Day at QT

Waste not, want not this Valentine’s Day, as QT Hotels & Resorts adds a little spice to offset the sugar. On February 14th, the stars will align and Cupid’s arrow will be perfectly poised and ready to strike as QT bars Australia-wide host a singles mixer with a QT twist: you need to BYO-Ex.

Experience the love at the Rooftop at QT Melbourne, Santini Bar at QT Perth, Gowings Bar at QT Sydney, Lucky’s Speakeasy at QT Canberra and Stingray Lounge at QT Gold Coast.

Seabourn Encore

On Thursday, media and influencers attended an event to showcase Seabourn Encore while docked in Sydney Harbour. The event included a ship tour followed by lunch at The Retreat, a sanctuary on board with private cabanas, pool, and a decadent dining menu.
