ASOS bring back their cult-fav satin midi skirt

This week, ASOS brought back their iconic satin midi skirt in 12 new colourways. Last year, ASOS sold 24 000 units of the skirt until it completely sold out. This time the cult favourite is back with a re-vamp – lace additions, floral patterns and button-up details make it an updated trend for this season. Be it in fluoro or an understated navy, these versatile midis are easy to style, and pair perfectly with some sneakers and a jumper for a comfortable winter look.

The Peninsula Hotels launch Art in Resonance

The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong launched an ambitious travelling arts program called Art in Resonance this week. Four artists created immersive installations which will be displayed at the Tsim Sha Tsui property until June 21st. Visitors and guests at The Peninsula Hong Kong can enjoy installations by Janet Echelman, whose artwork floats above the historic forecourt of  the hotel; Timothy Paul Myers, whose inspired piece in the hotel’s lobby aims to conjur personal memories; Iván Navarro, whose interplay of space and light encourages its audience to reimagine the concept of home.

Art in Resonance will continue each year, as the program travels between the ten locations of The Peninsula Hotels and the three properties under development in London, Istanbul and Yangon.

Art.. in the toilet?

Every Sydney-sider would agree that the bathrooms at Sydney train stations are more than often a space one should avoid, however, there’s a reason to enter them now. Around 200 digital artwork screens have been installed in a bunch of restrooms across the city as part of a new public art initiative.

Created by outdoor media company Smartbox, Reframed aims to introduce commuters to up-and-coming artists. The company is also hoping to show that outdoor advertising can be both beautiful and impactful by providing a platform for artists to reach a potential audience of millions.

Find the screens in Bondi Junction, Burwood, Central, Martin Place, Chatswood, Blacktown, Parramatta and Redfern.
